Terms Of Trade

DEPOSIT

Quotes are valid for 7 days from date sent.  To accept a quote and confirm your booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required. 

 

BALANCE

Final payment is due 7 days prior to your collection date.  Where the collection date falls within 7 days of the initial order, full payment must be received in order to proceed with your booking. 

Orders without full payment will not be completed. 

 

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation requests must be made via email. 

Original 50% deposit remains non-refundable. 

Any personalised or custom cake items/toppers that have already been fabricated/purchased are 100% non-refundable. 

No refunds can be given on cancellations within 7 days of collection date. 

Extreme circumstances may allow for a change of date/credit, however, details for these cases are arranged in writing, and at the discretion of Shhweets. 

In the event that Shhweets must cancel your order for any reason, including but not limited to: health, family, weather or emergency, a full refund will be provided.  If necessary, Shhweets can also provide details of other artists to help create your order. 

 

CHANGES

Please make any changes with as much notice as possible.  Minor changes can be made up until 7 days before the collection date.  This includes icing colour, board colour and adjusting pickup times.  Major changes like cake size, design and topper alterations must be communicated immediately and will incur additional charges. 

Changes to collection date may or may not be possible, dependent on Shhweets availability.  Please contact me immediately to discuss.  Where possible, payments can be transferred to a new collection date.  Customer cancellation policy will apply where a new date is unavailable. 

 

CREATIVE LICENCE

Shhweets will not replicate work by other cake artists.  Inspiration pictures are welcomed, however, each design created by Shhweets will be unique. 

Factors such as environmental, seasonal and supply issues may require adjustments to your design.  Even under these circumstances, rest assured you will still receive my very best quality and service.

Unfortunately due to Copyright laws, Shhweets is unable to create designs containing Trademark items, such as licensed characters and company logos, without permission from the trademark owner. The customer is responsible for obtaining permission and all costs associated with this process. Shhweets is happy to work with you to find a design that fits in with your theme, without breaching Copyright laws.

 

ORDER COLLECTION

Orders must be collected at the agreed time and date only.  Please be respectful of time frames and contact Shhweets immediately if there are any issues regarding collection.  

 

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Storage and transport directions are supplied with your order.  Please follow the transport and storage advice provided. 

On collection of your order, you take on full responsibility for its well-being.   

Ensure cakes are placed on even, solid surfaces, and handled with care during transport, storage and display. 

Should any damage occur, I will attempt to repair it where possible, however a call out fee will apply. 

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Whilst Shhweets follows strict guidelines regarding separation of products and ingredients containing allergens, Shhweets will not be held responsible for any allergy related issues.

Unless it is specified on your order, all products may contain or have been in contact with dairy, wheat, nuts, eggs, soy and other allergens.

Your order may contain elements that are not suitable for consumption, for example, internal support structures or non-edible decorations.  These items will be noted on your collection slip. 

Shhweets is not responsible for any additional items added by a customer, such as toppers, figurines, candles, flowers etc.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform their guests of any risks in regards to consuming products.

Shhweets is not responsible for:

• bodily injury, property or consequential damage, which may result from services.

• injuries or damage from lifting heavy cakes, unbalanced cake boards or cake stands.

• any damage to the cake once the cake has been delivered/collected from Shhweets. 

 

PRIVACY

Shhweets reserves the right to take and use photographs/video recordings of your orders, before, during and after set up, to use for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes, without compensation to you.

All photographs/video recordings taken of your cakes prior to delivery remain the property of Shhweets.

None of your personal details will be shared, at any time, unless authorised by the customer, or required by law. 

 

COMPLAINTS

It is important to me to determine the cause of a complaint to prevent the problem from reoccurring. 

If you are unhappy with your order, please return the product to the appropriate storage environment immediately and contact Shhweets via email providing detailed feedback.  The product must be returned for investigation. 

Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.

 

Shhweets reserves the right to refuse the sale of goods or services or to cancel an order under certain circumstances.
